SEPTEMBER PILGRIMAGE CHANGES

Thursday, March 19, 2020

Dear Pilgrims,

Much has happened these first weeks of March.

As you know our new Pilgrimage dates are set for September 6 -18.

Please note several changes:

  1. We board the bus in Visalia on SATURDAY night at 10:30 PM
  2. We now travel to and from LAX - No return San Francisco.  Much simpler
  3. We will still make a brief stop in Bakersfield to accomodate Pilgrims who live in Kern County
  4. Passports now can not expire prior to April 1 2021.   Please reconfirm that your Passport will be still valid for 6 months after we return in September
  5. We unfortunately lost Fr Hector Lopez, as he can not make September.   However, Fr Timothy from Iowa has expressed his willingness to be the second priest on this Pilgrimage.  So we still have the necessary two priests.
  6. We lost only 3 pilgrims in addition to Fr Hector.  I think an unbelievable feat considering the move from March to October then to September.

Please check the following pages for changes that include new flight information and other logistics

  • HOME
  • ITINERARY
  • TRAVEL
  • PREPARATION 1
  • Also there are some remarks in the Booking page, for new Pilgrims.   There was a waiting list, and I will be in touch with those folks soon.

If you have any Questions, please ask SELMA if it is flight related, and ask JERRY if it is PILGRIMAGE in Israel related.

THANK YOU once again for all your cooperation and your very kind words.   If you kicked a door or wall at times, you were gracious enough to do it after we hung up the telephone.

I also want to especially thank SELMA for her incredible work,  thank JAMAL DEJANI for his unbelievable ability and willingness to twist arms in Israel for our benefit and finally for CHRISTOPHER CROSS who was willing to do 3 back to back Pilgrimages so we could tuck in between his October and November Pilgrimages.  He is much happier with the September dates.

After speaking with a few folks in Israel, the concensus is that the weather is a little warmer, but not hot.  We should be just fine and probably will not have to layer clothing as we might have had to in October.

God Bless,

Mr Jerry DeMelo, Jr OP
