INSIDE THE OUTER CHAMBER OF THE TOMB OF JESUS, WHERE MARY MAGDALENE ONCE STOOD
SPECIAL AND UNIQUE FEATURES
☆ MASS INSIDE THE HOLY TOMB OF JESUS AND AT CALVARY
We will have Mass in the Tomb of Jesus, more than once during our stay in Jerusalem. This is a unique privilege. Less than 1 in a 10,000 pilgrims to the Holy Land ever have the chance to have Mass inside the Tomb. The two chambers of the Tomb will hold our group. Because we will likely have more than one Mass in the Tomb, everyone will have a chance to celebrate Mass in the Tomb.
Likewise, we will have Mass at Calvary, at the 11th Station where Jesus is nailed to the Cross.
Imagine receiving Holy Communion at the very location where He shed his blood
☆ EUCHARIST ADORATION AT GETHSEMANE
We will have an evening Hour of Adoration at Gethsemane, where Jesus asked his Apostles “Will you watch with me one hour.” The Franciscans usually open the church at night just for our group. It is an unspeakable privilege.
There will also be an opportunity for the faithful to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation (confession) during this time.
☆ HOLY ROSARY MYSTERIES
We will visit each site that is a Mystery of the Holy Rosary. (Except, of course -the Coronation of Our Lady as Queen of Heaven). We will pray a decade of the Holy Rosary at each Mystery Site.
☆ CANA WEDDING VOW RENEWAL
All married couples will have the ability to renew their Marital Vows at Cana, the site of the Wedding of Cana where Jesus performed his first miracle. A very special ceremony for married couples. A reception follows, and of course wine from Cana is available.
☆ VISIT BAPTISMAL SITE OF JESUS
The historical place where John the Baptist baptized Our Lord has not been open to Pilgrims for decades. Now the site is under Israel control and is available for visiting and reflection. A most amazing opportunity to be present where the Trinity was first manifested to Israel.
☆ FREE DAY
We will have a free day in Jerusalem to re-visit favorite sites, go to other Jerusalem places, or even to Bethany and visit Lazarus’ tomb and Mary and Martha’s house.
Most Pilgrimages are two days shorter than this one. This particular Pilgrimage is also one day longer than Christopher Cross’ prior Pilgrimages as well.
